
What size wind generator would I need to cover 9000 kWh a month?
I am interested in looking for a wind turbine system that could cover my entire house. My average is about 9200kWh a month. I know that there are many factors in these systems but I am intersted in finding out how big of a system I am looking at. All help appreciated.

9200 kW-hour per month is equivalent to an average power of
9200 kW-hour per month x 1 day/24 hours x 1 mo/30days = 13 kWatts. That is about 10 times the national average of 1.2 kW.
13 kW is a large system. If you are in an area that gets 6 hours of wind per day worse case, then you need a 13×4 = 52 kW system.
You have to decide on battery storage for times when there is no wind, or an electric grid tie, where you sell power to the power company when lots of wind, and buy from them when there is no wind.
Battery systems can be very expensive and difficult to maintain, as you get into many dozens of large lead acid batteries. Battery storage is the weak point in systems. A large Lead acid battery, $ 300, will store about 1 kW-hour, enough to operate your house for 1/13 of an hour or 5 minutes.
