how can you make a wind powered generator with as back up?
I am in the process of building a wind powered generator and I want to put on some solar panels on it as a back up source of energy. So pleas HELP!!!!!!

Why not just go with solar panels to begin with? It makes little economic sense to have both. In either case you should have a battery system to tide you over when there is no wind or sun.

I would go with a solar system and and forget the wind generator.

    Just build both with a common battery, with two separate charge controllers, one for each input. be sure you get charge controllers that can talk to each other.
