Is there a no-interest loan available from the government for installation of a 1.5 Megawatt Wind Generator?
I own an RV Park, and I would like to install a 1.5 Megawatt wind generator on my property. The cost is going to be around $ 80,000. I need to know if there are any interest-free loans available from the government for the installation of a wind generator?
By the way, I am located in Texas, and my campground is located outside of the city limits.

to get the banks to loan businesses money.
at normal interest rates.

Unfortunately, The simple answer is No.

The best you can hope for is to work with the power utility to see if they have a program available to help defray some cost for grid tying your wind system to the main grid. Nothing is going to be no interest. Just interest rates below prime. If you offer a spot for T Boone Pickens, he might float you some cash, but don’t get your hopes up.
Otheriwse you might check with the Department of Energy, but I doubt you will get anything as a private or corporate entity since it is not research related or charity even. Also check with your state reps for the area. I do not think they will do much other than see if there is something on the books, and considering you are doing this as a private venture- your options are not very great and trying to argue a “public good” or “benefit” would be tough sell even in a strong economy.
