i need a generator to connect to a vertical wind vane, also any ideas for gears belt drives?
im building a wind generator. i need to know where to buy an electric generator and a gear/chain setup to transfer mechanical energy to the motor.

How can the question be answered when you didn't specify either the input (size of vane, rpm, torque, average wind speed) or the output (watts, voltage, etc.)?
