Do all Liberals have a and using no oil or coal to live?
How much does a wind turbine cost? And how many solar panels are needed for one average sized home to get heat and air- electricity etc.. ? What if there isn't any wind for a couple of weeks?
Why does the Leader of the global warming movement AL GORE use 200 more energy- COAL AND OIL than 200 average families use combined?

Nope. They are also using computers, driving motorized vehicles, and eating meat. Liberal hypocrisy is endless.

  2. Bev

You left out the gas guzzling Escalade.

  3. Andy

And how long will fossil fuels last for? What happens when they run out?

Non renewable energy sources are far from perfect, but the same can be said of oil, gas and coal.

  4. One Term Wonder

Most Liberals are cruising around in SUV’s & come on Yahoo to criticize others that do.

  5. Sadcat

No, but none of us have said that absolutely no oil should ever be used. We’re only saying that alternative fuels will need to be developed in the long run, and we may as well start now.

Geez, what you think liberals believe and what they actually believe have nothing to do with one another.

  6. Captain Crackbarry

yes. They even have brain boosting wind turbine powered hats called “beanies”……

  7. Abraham Lincoln

Only a VERY TINY percentage of liberals actually support their party’s agenda. They don’t have solar and wind, they can not justify the expense. How about that!

Some, but very few, have bought electric cars. They are coal cars, you can see the invisible coal smoke coming off the back of that car… Via the coal fired power plants.

Oh, these libs are are real supporters too! (sarcasm)

30 years of Reaganomics have left me so poor that I am living paycheck to paycheck I don’t even have change for a penny.

  9. Pragmatism Please

No, but we conservatives are being idiots for not building it and selling it to them. There’s a ton of money to be made here! They would all buy it if the price came down due to increased production. If the price got low enough, I’d buy it too.

I don’t care whether global warming is man-made or not. It doesn’t matter because we will run out of oil.

  10. Moe Ham Abdul

No. Most are like Gore spouting about global warming at meetings while flying from one to the other in a private jet. It is supposed to always be the others to make the sacrifices.

  11. Jesus was a liberal

Gore uses more is because his house is an office (with a staff) as well as a home, but please keeping telling everybody half truths.

  12. Jean

No and Gore isn’t the leader of anything, he’s just the person the far right tries to demonize.

  13. Scott Monster

They’re call Alternative, not replacement technology. At this point, you’re not going to completely dispose of crude oil production.

However, you can reduce your use by a great deal by taking steps. I personally enjoy having a smaller electric bill.

  14. avail_skillz

ok one more time for you half wits…
nobody is claiming middle class and poor need to take out loans to buy things they can’t afford.
they think corporations should be more responsible custodians of the environment they are polluting.

And btw most corporations are doing just what liberals want in order to utilize more waste and boost profit.

comments like this show you people have no real understanding of the business process.

  15. Hector Frodo

I would if they weren’t so expensive. We have to get the volume up before prices can come down.

Why would you think the road we’re going down on energy is infinite?

  16. tonalc2

I’d say a large percentage of solar panels in the US are sold to those who actually believe in supporting alternative energy.

It would be nice if turbines and panels were cost effective for everyone. Unfortunately, at this point they’re not, since there has been, shall we say, lackluster support for green technologies.

The point is this: Eventually the fossil fuels are going to run out. This is an undisputed fact. Why not start preparing for the time when we will HAVE to use solar, wind, water and yes, (safe) nuclear power, rather than having a mad scramble?

On a more financial point, why are you cons so averse to getting off of the oil dependency on countries who aren’t too fond of us? What the hell is wrong with developing our own technology? And no, shale is not going to be our savior.

I hear so much from the cons about how the debt is going to harm our children and grandchildren. Try to put some of that forward thinking into energy.
